The story of the Creepy Baby Head.
On our family farm of 150+ years in North Carolina my brother found a plastic doll head while operating an excavator in an old debris pile. Our family hasn't lived on the property for many decades. He saw this creepy baby head staring at him in the middle of all the debris. He found it strangely interesting and pulled it out. We suspect this head is from the 1950's based on when little girls lived there. The head found itself in random places around the farm and everyone would say that the baby head was creepy and constantly staring at them.
To memorialize the vintage doll head my brother suggested I cast it in cement using my special statuary techniques. The original plastic head was cleaned up and coated in many layers of rubber latex. The head was then 3D scanned to assist in building a shell using 3D printing to build the right support to hold the cement during curing. The block stand it sits on was fabricated using computer aided design programs and 3D printing. The finished product is then soaked in a cement stain. Your chosen finish is then applied and then topped off with polyurethane to seal it up to last for decades. So the little head lives on and is now in homes and gardens all over the United States. Contact me if you wish to buy one or several.
This statue comes in five different finishes:
